The Curepe Presbyterian Primary School  PTA is an organization that extends free membership exclusively to its parents , faculty and staff.  The CPS PTA is governed by its constitution.

 

Our objectives are as follows:

 

Promote the welfare of the pupils of The Curepe Presbyterian School by:

​

• Raising the standards of school and home life.

• Bringing into closer relation the home and the school to the intent that parents and teachers can cooperate intelligently by providing  the best possible education for the pupils of the School

•  Securing for every child the highest advantage by physical, mental, social and spiritual education.

• Raising funds for any project that directly contributes towards the education and physical well-being of the children attending The Curepe Presbyterian School.

 

The P.T.A. shall be dedicated to raising of Moral, Educational and Material standards of the School and the fostering, as far as may be practicable, of a better bond among parent/guardian, teacher and student while the association shall seek neither to direct the administrative activities of the school nor to control its policies.

 

These aims shall be furthered by:-

• Studying and discussing all matters which are of interest to those concerned in the bringing up and education of children.

• Promoting and sustaining interest in the aims and methods of Modern Education.

• Assisting financially and otherwise, in providing and improving amenities for the school.

The Executive of the PTA meets once per month, September through June, generally in the computer lab.  The meetings are held on or about the second Thursday of each month. No notice convening these meetings is required once the day, date and time determined by the Management Committee of The P.T.A has been published.  The meeting dates are usually planned by the Management Committee.

 

The CPS PTA General Meetings are usually held twice per year. The executive members of the PTA are nominated and elected at the AGM held in the month of June.
